As Catholics, we are called to serve, Stewardship is central to our faith. We are called to be generous with our time and talents – to receive God’s gifts with gratitude, cultivate them, and share them with others. We know this is our duty as a Catholic, but what’s in it for us?
When we get involved in our parish, it brings us closer to our faith and our own individual spirituality. When we are an active participant, we become connected to a faith community, a more intimate member of a family rather than an outsider looking in. We become collaborators and active participants in something much greater than ourselves – the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, which is the essential mission of our Church. In so doing, we are strengthened, we become more grounded, we are better able to integrate our faith into our lives outside of the Church.
