Saint Mark, Evangelist

Saint Mark(John Mark) was the author of the oldest and shortest Gospel.  He was likely a scribe for the apostle, Peter.  Saint Mark wrote for a Roman audience so he used a very concise and direct style.  He knew that the Romans were a military/war-like people who would not tolerate a more long-winded writing style.
