Fr. Dijo Thomas MSFS was born in Kerala, India. His parents are Thomas Mathew and Mary Thomas. He has three siblings, one older sister, one elder brother, and one younger brother. He joined the seminary in 1995. He did his canonical novitiate in 1999 and took the first religious profession and became a member of the religious order, Missionaries of St. Francis De Sales(MSFS) known as FRANSALIANS. He did his college studies, Philosophy, and Theology in India. His Perpetual profession was in May 2005. In December 2005 he was ordained as a deacon. He was ordained to the priesthood on November 25, 2006. Fr. Dijo was assigned as a pastor, assistant director of the retreat center, chief editor of the magazine, counselor to the college students, youth ministry coordinator, retreat preacher in parishes, colleges, schools, and television in India. In the year 2017, Fr. Dijo was sent to the USA to do the ministry. He was assigned as the hospital chaplain to Hershey medical center and did his hospital chaplaincy course in the same hospital. He was assigned as the pastor to Our Lady of Good Counsel, Marysville, and St. Bernadette, Duncannon in 2018.
MSFS was founded in France in the year 1838 and its headquarters is in Rome. Saint Francis De Sales is the patron and Fr. Peter Mary Mermier, the servant of God is the founder of the order. MSFS has more than 1300 priests and is doing missionary works in 30 countries. MSFS has a province in America and its provincial house is in Atlanta. There are 70 MSFS missionaries now doing ministries in North America.
